The Tragic Journey of the Titanic

In April 1912, the Titanic was the largest ship in the world. It was called «unsinkable» because of its advanced design. People from all over the world were excited about its first journey from Southampton to New York. Many passengers were on board, including wealthy families, workers, and travelers looking for a new life.

On April 10th, the Titanic departed from Southampton. The passengers were enjoying themselves. Some were eating delicious meals in the dining room, while others were relaxing on the deck. The weather was calm, and the sea was quiet. Everyone believed they were safe.

However, on the night of April 14th, the Titanic hit an iceberg. The crew was trying to avoid it, but it was too late. Water began to flood the lower parts of the ship. Many people were confused and didn’t understand the danger they were in. The lifeboats were not enough for everyone, so many passengers stayed on board.

While the ship was sinking, the orchestra was playing music to calm the passengers. Some people were helping others, while others were waiting for rescue. The Titanic sank early in the morning of April 15th. More than 1,500 people lost their lives in the freezing waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Today, the story of the Titanic reminds us of the power of nature and the importance of safety. People continue to study the shipwreck to understand what happened and to honor the memories of those who were on board.
